How to Edit Your Profile

Your profile is a great way to personalize your presence on Code Forum. You can update your information, change your avatar, customize your signature, and manage your social identities all from your account settings.

Step 1: Access Your Profile Settings​

  1. Log in to your Code Forum account.
  2. Click your username or avatar in the top-right corner.
  3. In the dropdown menu, select Account Details to access your profile settings.

Step 2: Update Your Profile Information​

In your Account Details area, you’ll find several fields you can update. Use the left-hand sidebar menu to navigate between different settings pages.

Editable Profile Fields​

  • Username – May require admin approval to change
  • Email - Change your account email
  • Date of Birth – View-only if already set; contact an administrator if incorrect
  • Show Day and Month of Birth – Toggle visibility of your birthday
  • Show Year of Birth – Optionally allow others to see your age
  • Location – Add your city, state, or region
  • Website – Link to your personal or professional website (e.g., http://example.com)
  • Gender – Select from Male, Female, or No selection
  • Occupation – Describe your current job or role
  • Skills – List the programming languages or tools you already know
  • Desired Skills – Mention what you want to learn or improve
  • GitHub Repo – Link to your GitHub profile (e.g., https://github.com/username)
  • Codeberg Repo – Share your Codeberg profile (e.g., https://codeberg.org/username)
  • Your Portfolio – Provide a link to your portfolio or showcase site
  • GitLab Repo – Link to your GitLab profile (e.g., https://gitlab.com/username)
