Resetting Your Password

Whether you're updating your password for security reasons or you've been locked out of your account, this guide will walk you through how to reset your password on Code Forum.


Resetting Your Password (While Logged In)

Step 1: Open Your Account Settings

  1. Make sure you're logged into your Code Forum account.
  2. Click on your username or profile picture in the top-right corner.
  3. From the dropdown menu, select Password and Security.

Step 2: Change Your Password

  1. Enter your current password.
  2. Type your new password and confirm it in the fields provided.
  3. Click Save to apply the changes.

Tip: Use a strong and unique password. Avoid reusing old passwords for better account security.


Enabling a Passkey (Optional)

Code Forum supports passkeys as a secure alternative to traditional passwords.

  1. Go to the Password and Security section of your account settings.
  2. Click Add Passkey in the top-right corner.
  3. Follow the prompts to register a passkey using biometric login or device authentication.

If You're Locked Out of Your Account

Step 1: Visit the Login Page

  1. Go to the Code Forum homepage.
  2. Click the Login button in the top-right corner.
  3. On the login screen, click Forgot your password?
  4. Enter the email address associated with your account.
  5. Check your email inbox for a password reset link. Make sure to check your spam or junk folder as well.
